Northern Ireland remains in the UK, however does have access to the Single Market of the EU. Put simply, Northern Ireland trades with the Republic of Ireland much as before Brexit. Customs & Health Status's Border is the Sea.

The UK Government announced and extension (15th December 2021) for none-controlled goods traveling from XI-GB not requiring Export or Import Customs. The extension is expected to last until at least Easter 2022 and the Protocol Agreement is finalised.

Goods on this route traveling from ROI-GB (Via Belfast) should follow the same rules as eg. Dublin to Holyhead and require EU Export Customs. UK Import Customs at this time continue to be deferred.

Please note: Bloodstock and Products of Animal Origin will be required to attend a Border Control ahead of sailing.
