The Team
Ben Skilbeck - Customs & Accounts
Ben established the Irish Service for Bramhams in 2016 and in 2021 moved from the transport side of the business to Customs. Ben completed intensive training, supported by various Government backed schemes. Ben holds the Irish & UK licences to complete all aspects of Customs for both temporary and permanent Imports/Exports using the new AIS & CDS systems. Combined within his role are the business accounts, where VAT law has become significantly more complex since Brexit.
As the business pushes forward post Brexit, Ben is responsible for key business investments and marketing. His key role is to expand the ever growing Agency service and the Bloodstock aspect of the company.
Joanne Bramham - Transport Manager
After five years of working on the accounts and the Export Health Certificate side of the business, Jo recently moved over to manage transport and specifically our Irish Service.
Jo is responsible for the meticulous route planning across the whole Irish Service, ensuring minimal journey times, with equine welfare being a top priority.
The key element is efficiency, and liaising directly with clients and their vets to coordinate the time sensitive paperwork to individual transport requirements. Jo has built a great relationship with Vets across England & Wales, where she often offers her expertise on the requirements of these documents.
Niamh O'Gorman - EU Export & Import Health Paperwork
Niamh joined our Team in 2017, assisting with collections and deliveries within Ireland. Being a close member of our team for the past six years, it became obvious that with Brexit there would be huge advantages to have a base within the European Union.
Established in early 2021 was Bramhams of Buckingham Ireland Ltd, where Niamh is the company Secretary. This company holds our European Type 2 approval for long distance transport, and enables us to produce EU Health documents. A separate bloodstock EU VAT number also gives us access to complete all Export/Import Customs documents directly with the Irish Revenue.
Niamh liaises directly with the local vets (PVP) and Government Vets (DVO) within Ireland and takes care of all aspects of the export papers to meet our time sensitive deadlines.
Leah McAdam - Accounts, Credit Controller & UK Export Health Paperwork
Leah joined the team in January 2023 to work with and assist Ben with managing the Accounts. She is responsible for issuing invoices (whether for transport or for the Customs/Shipping Agency) and also sending out the end of month statements to our Account holders.
Leah also assists Jo and Niamh with the UK and EU Export/Import Health Paperwork and ensures all information is gathered prior to departure date.
Seb Francis - Lead Driver, Ireland
Seb joined us in 2018 as a lead driver, and quickly established our clients' respect as a careful and considerate member of the team.
Driving horses Internationally requires a unique skill set; not only being an exceptional driver, but having a key understanding of how to look after the horses in our care. Seb shares his expertise of transporting over 3500 horses overseas onto our other drivers. This helps develop other drivers' practical understandings of the high level of care we have become accustomed to when Seb is at the helm.
Ozzy Oswald - Head of HR & Security
Being the head of HR brings huge responsibility, and this is not something Ozzy takes lightly. Ted is always on hand to offer his services and particularly enjoys his weekly fish & chip lunch.
Due to his diverse skill set, Ozzy has also been given the role of the head of security.
